Our History
The land upon which Denmark House sits started as a family run dairy farm in the early 1950s. Following the construction of the house by Arthur Barnicott in 1976 it became a livery yard.
During the war Arthur was stationed in Denmark and so after discharge he settled on the North Downs of Kent in the South East of England and built Denmark House; naming it after the time he had spent in the city.
In more recent years, Denmark House has been lovingly restored and renovated by Arthur’s grandchildren Hannah and Barny who have created an inviting and comfortable space that caters to a number of services.
Denmark House now houses the successful Blue Bell Hill recording studio and the Bluebell Skincare beauty treatment room. Providing luxury accommodation the house also serves as a great place to stay for large groups. The property also offers it's space for events, facilitates meetings & training days, family gatherings and caters to bespoke requests.
