  • You can find the front door key in the safe to the right of the front door. Please return it to the safe when you checkout. We will make you aware of the code in advance of your stay. 

    The inner door code will have will have made known to you. If not please get in touch and we will remind you. 

    The studio lounge door will be open if you have booked that part of the house.

    Should there be a problem the hub is in the hallway cupboard next to the Kitchen. 

  • The upstairs and downstairs heating is on separate systems. Both systems thermostats / timers set. 

    The upstairs thermostat sits on the landing. 

  • The ironing board and iron are in the hall cloakroom cupboard downstairs next to the studio corridor. 

    You can find extra towels in the landing cupboard next to the main bathroom. 

    You can find a washing machine, tumble dryer, and dishwasher in the kitchen. The tablets and detergents are in the cupboards next to the machines. 

    You can leave any dirty laundry in the utility room bin, opposite the washing machine. 

    A laundrette is available at the nearby Davis estate.

  • All smart TVs connect to Wi-Fi, and have a wide range of apps. Remember to sign out of your apps before leaving, we cannot hold responsibility for other guests using your account. 

    If you need a HDMI, you can find one in the printer cupboard next to the kitchen. 

  • You can use our printer, located in the cupboard next to the kitchen and accessible via the Wi Fi. 

  • The general rubbish bin is to the left of the oven, and recycling to the right. Spare bags are in the utility room. 

    Please note recycling is clear plastics, tins and cans ONLY. Store paper and cardboard separately. 

    Outside the front door to the right you will find the wheelie bins for both general and recycling. Paper and cardboard go in the boxes. 

  • You will find logs, kindling, paper and firelighters provided. If you need more logs they are outside the front of the house. 

    Please be sure to always close the burner door if you are not in the room. 

  • Nutkins Tea room is at Squirrells riding school. A short walk down the main drive and on the right. 

  • A highchair and travel cot are in the landing cupboard next to the main bathroom. 

  • Please help yourself to anything available. 

    The cooker is gas. The ON button to the right only turns the slow cooker on (bottom right oven)! For the main ovens and hob, just set the temperature and hold the button in until the gas ignites. 

  • If you like a curry, this is, in our opinion, the best. GurkaBrothers.

    But you are best making your choice and calling them rather than ordering online!

  • You will find the gas BBQ ready for you, along with all the utensils you need, on the far side of the patio. 

  • The Robin Hood pub is a 15 minute walk. Just turn right at the top of the drive. We would recommend you call or check their website before heading out.

  • Asda Superstore is open 24 hours and only a 5 minute drive. 

    In Maidstone, there are many options for shopping, including a Sainsbury's. Maidstone is just a 10-minute drive away.

  • Chatham is the closest station, with links to London Victoria and St Pancras International. 

    Taxis are often waiting outside the station. 

    Maidstone East and West are also only 10 minutes drive away. 

  • Please only park in front of the house. 

    Please note that the riding school requires constant access to the main driveway. Therefore please do not park in a way that blocks access.  

    Parking on the road is free. 

    If you need more parking for your event, please get in touch. 

  • Please be respectful to our neighbours. Because of this we ask that you adhere to our house rules - 

    When you are in the garden please be mindful of your noise levels. 

    We would be grateful you be in from the garden/patio area by 9pm. Please close the sliding doors and windows in the main lounge to prevent noise disrupting our neighbours. Please move into the Studio lounge in the evenings for louder events. 

    When smoking after 9pm, please go outside through the main front door. Smoke near the driveway or hedge instead of in front of the house to avoid disturbing our neighbours. Please use bucket provided for cigarette ends. 

    Be aware of noise levels if coming and going late at night and mindful of our neighbours.
